29 December 2006
I first saw Bruce Sullivan present at the CPA Congress in Sydney in 2005, and thought that both his message and delivery were outstanding. Since that time I have been looking for an opportunity to use Bruce with my team at the ANZ, and subsequently invited Bruce to address the group at out annual “offsite” forum, which was held earlier in December.
I specifically asked Bruce to deliver the same material that he had presented at the CPA Congress. The material is relevant to our team: they are a fantastic and committed group of people who have achieved a lot over the last year and yet there is still so much to be done. I am strongly of the view that with a group of capable and intelligent people as these are, that one of the key success factors is the attitude they bring to bear, particularly when faced with challenges and adversity. As we still have a large task ahead of us, I felt that Bruce’s message would be very timely.
Bruce spoke to our team for an hour, and I found his material and message even more inspiring the second time around. But more importantly the response from the team was remarkable, with universal enthusiasm and support for Bruce’s message and for his high energy and humorous style of delivery. Several people commented that it was the best presentation that they have ever seen or heard. The leader of out NZ business, on returning to Wellington, informed his geographic manager how outstanding the presentation was, and they are keen to use Bruce in NZ in 2007.
I am keen to explore how we might use Bruce in other ways in the ANZ, as he has ab ability to deliver a message in a way that really resonates with people. He and his staff were also very professional and easy to do business with.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bruce to any organisation or person seeking his services.
