What can I say? You are a STAR! A winner! A best start to the conference we could ever have. And, you were not without risks. Our “lot” are not given to having to confront the balance between their personal and working lives, especially not that close to a conference opening. They are certainly not prone to performing “unnatural acts with strangers” and if any of them do succumb to such activity, certainly I don’t want to know about it, and most assuredly they wouldn’t do it in public!
But the great bursts of laughter, nods of approval and moments of quiet reflection proved comprehensively that Colin Sweetman’s advice to “hang on to this guy” for the Independent School of New Zealand conference was absolutely correct. And just momentarily I thought it was because Colin, in true Bursar fashion, just wanted to reduce the costs for the Bursar’s conference.
Thank you so much. One day soon I hope to spend the entire session as a delegate in one of your performances and I am sure you will be invited back to New Zealand.
Until then, very best wishes for many more successful days and nights balancing your work and family.
